Very much a quick drive-by – we did this immediately after doing Great Mell Fell nearby.

There is a parking spot on the road due south of Little Mell fell. If coming up the road from the west, just before the road starts descending there is a small layby with room for 2-3 cars, with the footpath starting on the opposite side of the road.

It’s fairly quick climb to the summit trig point, and if you’ve done Great Mell Fell just before it, the view is only slightly different!
