With rain forecast for the afternoon, we set out to do a fairly quick one. Parking at the Glen Mary car park and walking down the road a short way, we were soon on a pleasant stroll through open woodland.
Lots of different fungi seen here too!

The going got steeper, following a rocky stream but you are rewarded at the top with a sudden reveal of the view towards the Langdale Pikes

From here it was a fairly quick climb to the summit cairn. Great views from the top, though the Old Man of Coniston was shrouded in cloud

Final note: when we go back and reviewed our GPS trace, it looks like we were at Ivy Crag, and not at the real Holme Moss summit, which on the map is around 200m south west, but we didn’t recall seeing anything higher that nearby! We will return to be completely sure!
This puts me on 15, and Sarah on 7 Wainwrights.
